| A multi-manager is a manager of investment managers. The major difference between it and a single investment manager is that a multi-manager does not actually buy and sell asset classes. It manages the investment managers who do this on their behalf. Investment Solutions' core business activity centres on the continual research and monitoring of the investment-manager universe in Namibia and South Africa to determine the best investment managers, given different evaluation criteria and investment goals. This research allows the blending of these managers into optimal portfolios, which is done through a unique process backed by proprietary systems and methodologies. | Typically, historical investment returns are the only information widely available to most investors when selecting an investment manager. Historical investment returns are, however, not a reliable criterion as they provide no guarantee of future returns. Investment Solutions goes beyond the measurement of historical returns, using proven expertise that evaluates investment managers from a qualitative and quantitative perspective to select and blend investment managers to produce investment portfolios that provide a less volatile return stream with improved long-term returns. | |||
